Bee Farming
Eighteen women have been selected to take part in honey production in the Greater Lumbini Area. These entrepreneurs devote their time surrounded by the buzzing of bees in fields of yellow mustard plants. They have all been producing the sweet golden liquid for multiple years selling to their friends and families. With their sights set on harvesting honey for a greater population they look to utilize this program to increase their output, generate higher incomes, and empower other women in their vicinity to take part in bee farming.
Through this women’s enterprise initiative, the program will equip the women with the skills and training to produce a higher quality product as well as more of it. As well as make sure they have the capacity to handle all aspects of their business including finances, bookkeeping, marketing and branding.
